We have successfully coached many athletes at all levels. Our athletes have not only reached their goals, but have won numerous awards and set Personal Bests. And, they have had fun in the process! Our coaching programs are all tailored for each individual athlete. Our group sessions and clinics also focus on each individual in the group. Our coaching programs are individually designed to help you meet your athletic goals.

Weekly Running Speed Workout
Do you want to run fast? Have you been working hard to improve your running? If your speed has not improved significantly with traditional training, this is the program for you. Running fast has three components – cardiovascular fitness, muscular strength, and neuromuscular coordination.

Asphalt Green Tri Club Fall Tri Stroke Clinic
10 weekly sessions at Asphalt Green. The Summer Season begins October 16 and runs through December 20. We do underwater video taping of your stroke for detailed analysis during each session. Each session consists of 15 minutes of on deck drills, 60 minutes of pool time and 30 to 45 minutes of video tape review.

E-Mail Coaching Programs
A coaching program that provides workout plans for Runners, Marathoners, Triathletes, Swimmers and Cyclists. The program is on a weekly, monthly or seasonal basis. Training plans are designed for each athlete based on their current fitness, skill and experience level and their goal races. The training plan is e-mailed to the athlete in advance. Access to the coach for questions, training and workout information is provided via e-mail.

Private Tri Swim Coaching
Private tri swimming instruction at Asphalt Green. The focus is on stroke technique for endurance swimmers. For beginning competitive swimmers that need work on stroke technique, to advanced competitive swimmers that are looking to get faster and more comfortable. I have worked with competitive swimmers of all ages and levels since 1965.

Swimming Video Analysis
One of the key tools for stroke improvement is Video Tape Analysis. The ability to make stroke corrections depends on a good body awareness – a good kinesthetic sense. It is difficult to break old habits. It is especially difficult when you do not have a good image of your stroke. Using an underwater video camera and taping your swimming, we can greatly improve your kinesthetic sense, awareness of your stroke, body position, mechanics and stroke. We do private Stroke Video Tape Analysis. These are 15 minutes, 30 minute or 60 minute sessions of underwater and above water video taping of your swimming. We will tape you from the end of the pool – head on view, and walking along the side of the pool as you swim – side view. We will tape all four strokes, starts and turns.

Using a video camera and taping your running, we can greatly improve your kinesthetic sense, awareness of your body position, mechanics and stride.

A key tool for improvement of your cycling is Video Tape Analysis. The ability to make corrections depends on a good body awareness – a good kinesthetic sense. It is difficult to break old habits. It is especially difficult when you do not have a good image of your cycling – body position and techniques. Using a video camera and taping your cycling, we can greatly improve your kinesthetic sense, awareness of your body position, mechanics and pedaling techinque. We do private Cycling Video Tape Analysis. These are 15 minutes or 30 minute sessions of video taping of your cycling. We will tape you cycling at race pace and training pace, up and down hills, head on view, rear view, and side view. Contact us for more details.

VO2 Max Testing
With technology and science advancing our forefront, athletes may now get very specific about how they train for events and maintain their bodies. Oxygen (Vo2) based testing allows for precise measurement of caloric expenditures and heart rate training protocols in correlation to sports performance and general fitness

Resting Metobolic Rate Test
Have you ever wondered if you were consuming too many calories or perhaps not enough? This simple 5-10 minute test will take all of the guesswork out of your diet and replace it with personalized caloric information that is based on you and you alone. Each one of us burn (or metabolize) calories at very different rates and levels. Until now there were only a few formulas out there that “averaged” our daily caloric needs and expenditures, and the best we could hope for was that the “average” fit our individualized requirements.

Diagnostic Movement Screen and Strength Testing
Our functional movement screen is a test and performance enhancement tool that is comprised of seven tests which categorize and rank your functional movement patterns. This test allows us to identify biomechanical strengths and weaknesses within your movements which then helps us create a training program designed to strengthen those weaknesses, thus maximizing your potential. If this weakness is not identified, your body will compensate, causing inefficient movements. It is this type of inefficiency that will cause a decrease in performance and an increase in injuries.
